Our Origin Story

What began as a vision to bring handcrafted spirits to Hagerstown through Meinelschmidt Distillery has grown into something more. Owners Cort and Chelsea Meinelschmidt always believed downtown could thrive again—with heart, with community, and with incredible food.

Veva’s on Potomac is that next step forward

—a place where the culinary craft continues, now plated with the same precision and passion that built their distillery’s success.

Veva’s is named in honor of Chelsea’s grandmother, a nod to her Italian heritage and the generations of warmth and flavor passed down through the family kitchen.
